2. Different appearance: the height of seabuckthorn is only 1.5 meters, there are many thorns, the twigs have white scales and pubescence, the flowers are light yellow, the fruits are spherical, and the color is orange yellow or orange red. The height of Elaeagnus angustifolia can reach 5-10 meters. Its branches are reddish brown, its flowers are silver white, its fruit is oval and its surface is pink.
3. Different habits: Seabuckthorn is a light loving plant, which is not afraid of heat or cold. It can resist wind and sand, and is also very drought resistant. It has strong adaptability to soil. As long as it is not too sticky soil, it can grow healthily. Seabuckthorn also has the characteristics of drought resistance and wind sand resistance. In addition, it is also very resistant to salt and alkali. The fruit can be formed only when the temperature is above 20 ℃.
4. Different distribution: Seabuckthorn is mainly distributed in Hebei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia. Generally, it can be seen in the sunny area with an altitude of 800-3600m, especially in the Loess Plateau. Elaeagnus angustifolia is not only in the northwest and the west of Inner Mongolia, but also in North China and Northeast China.
