1、 Jiangzi Seabuckthorn
Jiangzi Seabuckthorn is mainly distributed in Lhasa, Jiangzi, Yadong and other regions of Tibet in China, and grows on the riverbed gravel at an altitude of 3500-3800m. The height of this variety is between 5-8 meters. The branchlets are relatively slender and the color is gray or brown. Its leaves alternate, narrow lanceolate in shape, 30-55 mm in length and 3-5 mm in width. The edges of the leaves are slightly reflexed, the surface is green and white, and there is white pilose at the same time. The fruit is oval, 3-4 mm in diameter, and the surface is yellow.
2、 Mongolian Seabuckthorn
Mongolian Seabuckthorn is produced in Xinjiang, mainly distributed at an altitude of 1800-2100 meters, and also in Western Mongolia and Belga Lake area. As a deciduous shrub, its height is between 2-6 meters. The lateral thorns are relatively long and usually have no branches. The leaf length is 40-60 mm, the width is 5-8 mm, and the top is blunt. Its fruit is round and its seed is oval.

Chinese seabuckthorn is found in Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and other places in China, especially in the Loess Plateau. Its height is about 1-5m, with many thorns, brownish green shoots and white scales and pilose on the surface. The leaves are opposite, 3-8 cm long. The fruit is round and spherical, the color is orange yellow or orange red, and the seeds are small, black and shiny.
4、 Central Asian Seabuckthorn
Seabuckthorn in Central Asia is produced in Xinjiang, China. In addition, it is also distributed in many countries in Central Asia. The height of this plant is 6 meters, and some can grow to 15 meters, but it is very rare. Its leaves alternate, linear in shape, 15-45 mm long, silver white on both sides. Its fruit is oval, 5-7 mm long, and the pulp is very brittle. It usually matures in August to September.
5、 Yunnan Seabuckthorn
Yunnan Seabuckthorn and Chinese seabuckthorn are very close, but the leaves are alternate, with green surface, grayish brown back, and rusty scales. Its fruit is round and spherical, with a diameter of 5-7 mm. It usually blooms in April and bears fruit from August to September. This variety comes from Sichuan, Kangding and Yunnan, and is distributed at an altitude of 2200-3700 meters.
