1、 How many years can you live
There are many differences in the maintenance life of Tielian according to its varieties and regions. If the environment is suitable and maintained properly, it is normal to grow for more than 40-50 years. There are also some phenomena of growth decline in about 25 years, but as long as they are properly trimmed, there should be no problem in more than 10 years.
2、 How to maintain
1. Soil: Clematis is suitable for growing in loose and fertile matrix. Peat soil and perlite can be mixed in a ratio of about 3:1 or 2:1. It prefers acidic soil. If the soil is alkaline, it will be unfavorable to its growth.
2. Light: Clematis can not grow without sufficient light. Keep more than 6 hours of light every day, but avoid exposure to the sun, or you will burn the leaves. It needs proper shade in summer, or put it in semi shade for maintenance.
3. Watering: Clematis is afraid of drought and humidity, so the amount of water must be controlled. During the high temperature period in summer, water every 3-4 days, but don't let the basin soil be too damp. During dormancy, keep the substrate moist, but there should be no ponding.
4. Fertilization: during the new bud growth period of Clematis, it is necessary to apply appropriate nitrogen fertilizer to speed up its growth. From April to June, phosphorus fertilizer needs to be applied to promote its flowering. In addition, some compound fertilizers should be used to provide more comprehensive nutrition.
