1、 Planting time
The planting time of cucumber is generally about March to April every year. At this time, the temperature has been relatively warm. It is higher than 5 ℃ at night and can reach 18 ℃ during the day, which is suitable for the growth and development of seedlings. Different regions should also be adjusted according to the local climate, which can be earlier or later. In addition, planting can also be carried out in autumn, mostly two months before frost. Planting too late will affect its quality or reduce production.
2、 Seed soaking and germination
Before planting, the seeds should be germinated. Prepare hot water at 50 ℃ and soak the seeds for a few minutes, which can have the effect of disinfection and sterilization. Then change to warm water at 30 ℃ and soak for 3-4 hours. Take it out and put it in a damp cloth, keep the temperature at about 20 ℃, and spray water frequently to keep it moist, so that you can see the seeds turn white in about two days.
3、 How to plant
Whether it is ground or potted, ensure that the soil is suitable. Usually, garden soil and river sand are used to prepare the substrate, and an appropriate amount of farm fertilizer is added as the base fertilizer, which can provide certain nutrients and is very helpful for the growth of cucumber. Sow the seed into the soil, cover it with a layer of fine soil, pour an appropriate amount of water, and wait for about a week to see it germinate.
4、 Transplanting
Generally, when the cucumber grows to two real leaves, it needs to be transplanted. In view of the intensive planting in the early stage, they should be planted separately, and two trees can be planted in one flowerpot. When transplanting, be careful not to hurt its roots. After that, pay attention to watering. Usually, it can resume growth in a week. Then we should prepare to set up a scaffold and carry out good water and fertilizer management.
