1. Morphological features: Venus flytrap is an annual herb. Its stem is relatively short and its plant type is not high. It is only about 6-38 cm. There are obvious leaves on the plant. The shape of the leaves is very like shells. The inside of the leaves is red and arranged with regular bristles, like teeth. Venus flytrap can blossom. The flowering period is in the summer of each year. The flowers belong to corymbose and appear white. It can bear inverted ovoid fruit, about 4-6 mm long, with many small seeds inside.
2. Predation method: Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant. It can catch insects through leaves. The part at the edge of the leaves secretes honey to attract insects to approach. When the insects reach the leaf part, the leaves on both sides will close up, clamp the insects and cannot move. Then it secretes mucus to decompose and absorb, so as to form nutrients for plant growth.

Although Venus flytrap can prey on insects, it is not toxic, will not emit harmful taste, and will not damage people's health. It is not harmful to people. It can be kept indoors, can help people catch mosquitoes, and has unique shape and certain ornamental value.
