2、 Colour

There are many colors of morning glory, the common ones are blue purple and purple red, in addition to peach and white. After cultivation, the varieties have richer colors, including crimson, pink, bright red, pink white, yellow and cyan and so on. Because the flower contains anthocyanins, it will change color with the subsequent changes, so it is one color in the morning and another color at noon.

3、 How to change color

1. Temperature control: the anthocyanins contained in morning glory will be affected by the temperature, because temperature control is one of the methods to change the color. However, the temperature should not be too high or too low, which is not conducive to plant growth. It is usually above 10 ℃.

2. Supplement nutrients: the discoloration of morning glory is also related to the metal ions in the soil. The characteristic metal ions can be supplemented through fertilizer, so as to play the effect of discoloration. However, the fertilizer should not be applied in a biased way. We must pay attention to the dosage and usage to avoid fertilizer damage.

3. Adjust pH: anthocyanin content is also closely related to soil pH, but too acidic or alkaline environment is not conducive to plant growth, so it should be adjusted appropriately. Generally, watering with ferrous sulfate solution can acidify the soil and reduce pH.
