Most azaleas bloom between April and June. However, the specific flowering time is related to its variety, planting area and other factors. For example, the flowering period of spring cuckoo is from mid April to early May, and the flowering time of summer cuckoo is from mid May to early June, which can last until July to August. From a regional perspective, the flowers cultivated in the greenhouse in the north will also bloom from January to February; Open field breeding will also bloom from March to May; The flowering time at higher altitude is from July to August.

Rhododendron likes a cool, humid and ventilated semi shady growth environment. It is afraid of both extreme heat and cold. The suitable temperature for growth is between 12 ℃ - 25 ℃. It should be protected from sun and shade in summer and warm and cold in winter. It is suitable to grow under scattered light with low light intensity. If the light is too strong, it is easy to sunburn young leaves and cause plant death in serious cases. It is suitable for planting in acidic soil, and it will grow slowly or even not in calcareous soil.
