1、 Maturity time
Lemon has no fixed flowering period and can bloom in spring, summer and autumn, so the time of fruit ripening is also different. Generally, fruit trees flowering in spring are ripe and picked from late October to mid November, but fruit trees flowering in summer can't be harvested until late December or early January of the next year. Fruit trees flowering in autumn are generally ripe from June to July of the next year.
2、 How long
Lemon can be kept at room temperature for about one month. If the oxygen concentration is low and the carbon dioxide concentration is higher than 10%, although it can be stored for a period of time, it will affect its taste and reduce its sour taste. If the oxygen content is less than 5%, it is also easy to change its flavor.
3、 How to keep fresh
1. Fresh keeping film: cover the cut lemon with fresh-keeping film, or directly put it into the fresh-keeping bag and put it in the refrigerator for about 1 week.
2. Honey soaking: slice the lemon, put it into a dry glass container, then pour honey into it, or put a piece, sprinkle a little sugar, and finally cover it. Put it in the refrigerator and keep it for two weeks.
3. Slice and freeze: first slice the lemon, then lay it on a plate and put it in the freezer of the refrigerator. After freezing, take it out and transfer it to the fresh-keeping box and continue to store it in the freezer. This way of storage lasts a long time and can be used as you take it. If there is an idle ice lattice at home, you can also cut it into small pieces, put it in the ice lattice, fill it with water and put it in the freezer. This freezing method can also be preserved for a long time.
