1、 Seed taking
Put the ripe healthy pitaya fruit into the prepared gauze, knead it under the running water and rub it with your hands. After washing the pulp, seeds will be precipitated, which can be used for planting p>
2、 Sow
Planting soil can be configured by itself. Peat and perlite can be mixed in the proportion of three to one or four to one. Select a container with permeable holes at the bottom with appropriate size, fill the bottom of the container with coarse stones or ceramsites, cover the upper part with planting soil, add a little bottom fertilizer, and then fill the planting soil. Wet the soil surface with a watering can and spread the seeds evenly. There is no need to cover the soil on it. Just cover the opening of the flowerpot with a plastic film. It can germinate in about three to five days at a room temperature of more than 20 degrees p>
3、 Upper basin
When the purple leaves can be seen after the seeds germinate, we can remove the preservative film and let it gradually see the light, so that the seedlings can enter normal growth. When the seedlings can grow triangular young branches from the center with small villi on the edge, we can transplant them p>
From sowing to planting, it is generally necessary to change the pots two or three times. At the beginning, the pots should be smaller. Plant three to five plants in each pot to let it grow. When the stem of Pitaya can reach 20 to 30 cm, we suggest to use a pot with a diameter of 20 cm and plant one plant. The soil for planting does not need to be too particular, but it is required to be loose, fertile and well drained. It takes about two or three years from planting to flowering and fruiting p>
