1. Lutou: the section with buds at the upper end of yam tuber root is called Lutou, which has strong reproductive ability. Generally, when digging out in winter, select the roots that are relatively strong and free of diseases and pests, and cut off other reed heads, with a length of 15-20 cm. The cut reed head shall be dried for 4-6 days. After the section shrinks and heals, it shall be stored in a ventilated place or sand, and the temperature shall be kept at about 5 ℃. Wait until the next spring and take it out for planting. Because the reed head is easy to deteriorate after years of use, it should be renewed every 2-3 years

2. Zero Yuzi: Zero Yuzi is the plant bud of yam. It mainly grows on stems and vines, mostly cylindrical. Shake them down when you harvest them and collect them. Select the seeds with full particles and large size. It is generally stored in wooden barrels and sown the next spring. The sowing time is mostly from March to April. Before sowing, deeply plough and fertilize, and then plant the spare seeds and cover them with fire lime soil. The seedlings can emerge 15-20 days after sowing

3. Rhizome and rhizome reproduction method: Rhizome and rhizome are similar. Cut the harvested yam into small sections of 8-10cm, apply plant ash on the incision, and put it in a ventilated place to dry for 3-5 days. After the wound heals, it can be planted. It should be noted that because the edible part of it is rhizome, it is rarely used for reproduction

2、 Family planting

When planting yam at home, we should first choose the flowerpot. In order to ensure the deep soil layer and facilitate the growth of rhizomes, the flowerpot should have sufficient height. Fill the basin with a certain amount of sandy soil, cut the yam into small sections, treat the wound with plant ash and plant it inside. After planting, pour enough water and provide appropriate light
