Long sunshine treatment

Long sunshine treatment is essential during the growth of Rieger Begonia seedlings. In the period of insufficient sunshine in winter, pseudo light lamps can be used to supplement the light source. The light filling time should not be too little, at least 16 to 20 hours per cycle

Dark treatment

In addition to long sunshine lighting, dark processing is also necessary. When the branches grow to 5 to 7 cm long, the shading can be started from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the next day. Generally, dark treatment should not be generalized, but provide a time length of one week and a half months according to the weather, cultivation and variety conditions.  

In addition, black plastic bags can be used for dark treatment, as long as they are opaque films or screens. In the process of treatment, it is easy to cause the temperature to rise, so if the temperature rises, start the dark treatment later and prolong the treatment time in the morning

Climatic conditions

In addition to light, another important thing is temperature. The initial growth stage must be maintained at 20 ℃ to 21 ℃. After about a month to a month and a half, it can be reduced to about 18 ℃ to 19 ℃, and the indoor air should be kept unobstructed. In the last stage of cultivation, the temperature can be reduced and maintained between 17 ℃ and 18 ℃. In fact, it's not good to keep a high temperature all the time. A lower temperature will produce more colorful designs and colors. However, blindly pursuing the growth of more gorgeous colors and reducing the temperature will lead to gray mold spots on the flowers.  

Application of carbon dioxide

Increasing the content of carbon dioxide is also a great choice. Because carbon dioxide can produce stronger leaves and deeper leaf color. Use to increase carbon dioxide content from about eight o'clock to about five o'clock after sunrise.
