2、 Camellia characteristics
1. Habit: camellia is a kind of plant that likes sunshine. It is suitable to grow in a warm and humid environment. Loose and fertile acidic soil is more conducive to plant development. When the temperature is between 20-32 ℃, the plant can grow rapidly. If it exceeds 35 ℃, the leaves are easy to be burned. In addition, the ambient humidity should be kept above 70%.
2. Distribution: Camellia has been cultivated in China for 1400 years. It is distributed everywhere. It can be cultivated in the open field in the central and southern provinces and cities, but it needs to be put in the greenhouse for winter in the north, otherwise it is easy to be frostbitten. At present, there are wild varieties in Shandong, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Taiwan.
3. Varieties: there are as many as 2000 varieties of Camellia. According to the petals, it can be divided into three types: single petal type, compound petal type and double petal type. According to the flower type, it can be divided into 12 types: single petal type, compound petal type, five-star type, lotus type, pine ball type, tuogui type, chrysanthemum type, hibiscus type, crown type, Hydrangea type, radial type and rose type.
