1、 Winter watering
Clematis is very sensitive to water. If it is watered too much, it will easily submerge its roots, but insufficient water is also unfavorable to its growth. In winter, the amount of water shall be controlled to keep the substrate moist, but there shall be no ponding. You can insert your fingers into the soil about 4-5cm. If you feel wet, you don't need to water p>
2、 How to spend the winter
1. Light: Clematis can not grow without sufficient light. Especially in winter, the sun is relatively soft and will not sunburn the plants. You can put it in the sunny place all day, and the light time every day is no less than 6 hours p>
2. Temperature: Clematis has strong cold resistance, but some varieties are afraid of low temperature. Among them, evergreen and F series are easy to be frostbitten in winter. Choose to put them in a warm place, or put a plastic bag on the upper part to keep warm p>
3. Fertilization: Clematis can also be fertilized in winter, but it is only suitable for adding base fertilizer. Dig out some of the surface soil, mix and fill in organic fertilizer and bone meal, and then cover it with basin soil. This can provide continuous nutrition and help it grow and blossom p>
4. Pruning: Clematis needs pruning at the end of winter. For large flowers, cut them gently, keep the overall structure unchanged, and cut off some of the long branches. Late flowers should be re cut. Cut off most of the branches and leaves and let them germinate again. For early flowering, only the dead branches and weak branches can be cut off p>
