Management of Sunflower Growth Stage
Seedling stage
At this stage, water once a week and fertilize once a half month to ensure sufficient sunshine.
Budding stage
Budding stage is the most vigorous stage of sunflower's life. During this period, sunflowers need the most fertilizer and water. If this stage can not meet the needs of sunflowers for water and fertilizer, it will seriously affect the yield of sunflowers.
Flowering stage
Flowering period refers to the period when the flower disk opens from tongue shaped flowers to tubular flowers. At this stage, we should adjust the sowing date of sunflower, select appropriate time for fertilization and watering, prevent and control diseases and pests, and adopt methods such as bee release or artificial assisted pollination to improve the seed setting rate of sunflower.
mature period
At this stage, different sunflower varieties are different. About 15 days after flowering and pollination is the stage of seed formation. During this period, it is best to place it in an environment with sunny weather and large diurnal liquid temperature difference, and maintain appropriate soil moisture.
