1、 Strip pressing time
The time of plum blossom layering is mostly from February to March, which is generally carried out on sunny days. If it is cloudy and rainy, it will affect its survival. As the saying goes, plum can't be separated until the beginning of spring, so the time is generally no later than the beginning of spring. Usually, the strip is pressed in spring. It can be divided until the early winter, and it can be divided until the early spring of the next year at the latest p>
2、 Strip pressing method
1. Selecting branches: in order to ensure the success rate of pressing branches, we must first select plum branches. Generally, 1-3-year-old strong branches are selected, and the age of branches determines the pressing method. 1-2-year-old branches need to use ordinary pressing method, and branches over 2 years need to use high-altitude pressing method p>
2. Proper treatment: after selecting the branches, gird them. The position of girdling is generally in the middle of the branch, and the width is about 5cm. Spray carbendazim at the place of girdling for disinfection, so as not to infect the bacteria in the air and lead to decay, so as not to take root p>
3. Rooting and transplanting: after the branches are treated, they need to be pressed. Generally, they are wrapped with moss or wet fertile soil, wrapped with a layer of plastic cloth on the outside, and tied tightly at both ends, so as to keep the inside moist and avoid water loss. Generally, it takes root after falling leaves in autumn, and it can be cut off and replanted p>
4. Subsequent maintenance: after it is replanted, it needs to be watered with an appropriate amount of water. As it is generally in winter, it is not easy to water too much. In addition, if the climate is cold, you need to keep it warm to avoid frostbite. When spring comes, you can increase watering and apply a little nitrogen fertilizer to promote growth p>
