2、 Grafting method

1. Bud grafting: bud grafting is often used for plum blossom grafting in the north. Select strong branches for 1-2 years and use their full axillary buds in the middle and upper part as scions. First, cut a knife horizontally about 0.5cm above the axillary bud, and the depth should reach the xylem, then cut it vertically from the normally long place on the left and right, cut it into a shield shape, and flatten the back to remove the xylem. Cut a T-shaped cut at the height of 5-6 cm of the rootstock, insert the scion into it and tie it with plastic strips

Choose healthy plum branches with buds on them, and the diameter is generally smaller than that of rootstocks. Cut its bottom end into a wedge, then insert it into the cut of the rootstock, wrap it with plastic film to avoid the entry of air and moisture

3. Ventral connection: the way of ventral connection is similar to budding. It is moved from the epidermis of rootstock obliquely to. Do not cut it off. The depth is about 2-3cm. The appropriate branches should not be too long. The bottom should also be cut into a wedge and inserted into the cut of the Rootstock to ensure that the formation layer fits well, and then wrapped with plastic film
