1、 Grafting

Grafting is one of the common propagation methods of plum blossom. Compared with other propagation methods, grafting has the advantages of rapid development, early flowering and maintaining the characteristics of the original seed. Generally, peach, apricot or seedling are used as rootstocks. Bud grafting is often used in the north and abdominal grafting and cutting grafting are often used in the south. Bud grafting is usually carried out from August to September. Take the axillary bud on the 1-2-year-old branch as the scion, cut it very much at 0.5cm of the maple appreciation, and cut it vertically at 0.5cm of the left and right, and cut it into a shield shape. Cut a T-shaped wound on the rootstock, insert the bud into it and tie it up

2、 Cutting

The survival rate of plum cutting is not high. Generally, varieties that are easy to take root are selected. Cut off the healthy branches on the mother tree as cuttings, with a length of 10-15 cm. The cutting time is generally in early spring or autumn. The cuttings are inserted into the detoxified sandy loam with a depth of one-third of its length. Water the cuttings once after cutting, and then less water to avoid decay

3、 Batten

Layering propagation is also one of the optional propagation methods of plum blossom, which is usually not suitable for mass propagation. From February to March, select the branches that grow healthily, peel their curved places, wrap them with soil, and then fix them with plastic bags to prevent them from falling. Wait until a month later, check whether it takes root. After taking root, it can be cut off and transplanted

4、 Sow

Plum blossom is usually sown in autumn. Generally, after the fruit changes color from June to July, it needs to be harvested, and after it matures, take out the seeds and wash them for standby. When the time is ripe, sow the seeds into the soil, cover the fine soil with moisture, and wait for them to take root and germinate. Sowing method is not commonly used because the growth rate of seedlings is relatively slow and flowering is very late
