Sowing time
Calendula is usually sown in late September. Before sowing, the soil should be disinfected. If the soil is exposed to the sun for a few days, there are no diseases and pests, which is more conducive to the growth of Calendula p>
Seed treatment
Before planting, the seeds should be soaked in warm water for 3 ~ 10 hours until the seeds absorb water and expand. This operation can be omitted for some common seeds that are easy to germinate, but it can be soaked appropriately to improve the germination rate of Calendula p>
Sowing method
For small seeds that are difficult to clamp by hand or other tools, wet one end of the toothpick with water, stick the seeds on the surface of the substrate one by one, and cover the substrate 1 cm thick p>
Then put the seeded flowerpot into the water. The depth of the water is 1 / 2 ~ 2 / 3 of the height of the flowerpot. Let the water soak up slowly to avoid washing up the seeds p>
Curing after sowing
After sowing in autumn, to avoid the cold wave and low temperature, the flowerpot can be packed with plastic bags to keep warm and moisturize. After the seedlings are unearthed, uncover the film and let the seedlings receive sunlight before 9 o'clock or after 3 o'clock every morning, otherwise the seedlings will grow very weak p>
After the seeds completely emerge, the seedlings can be properly separated to leave a certain distance between each plant, and the poorly growing seedlings can be pulled out. When most of the seedlings grow more than 3 leaves, they can be planted in pots p>
