The reason why Clivia can't blossom normally
Temperature
The optimum temperature for the growth of Clivia is 18-28 ℃ p>
The temperature is too low in winter. Below 15 degrees, Clivia grows slowly and the flowering period is delayed. Or the temperature is too high, Clivia did not enter the dormancy period on time, affecting the normal flowering period p>
Watering
Clivia is native to the tropics of Southern Africa and prefers a semi cloudy and humid environment p>
Watering too often will lead to ponding and rotten roots. Excessive drought will also cause root damage p>
Fertilization
If the fertilization is too thick or the type of fertilization is wrong, it will cause abnormal flowering p>
Too little fertilization and no soil change for a long time, and there is not enough nutrients in the soil environment in which Clivia grows, which will lead to the failure of Clivia to blossom due to lack of nutrition p>
How can Clivia blossom normally
Suitable temperature in winter
The cultivation of Clivia should pay attention to a slightly lower temperature in winter, and the room temperature should be 11-17 ℃; In order to increase the soil bottom temperature of the pot, move the flowerpot to the radiator at night (maintain 25 ℃), and then move back to the sunny windowsill during the day to let it get full dormancy p>
Moderate light
In summer, it should be placed in a slightly shady place. From June, the flower pot gradually retreats from the sunny window. It can be 1m away from the windowsill in August, sometimes underground, and back to the sunny windowsill in October. It is always not exposed to strong sunlight p>
Fertilization
Attention should be paid to the proper use of phosphate fertilizer p>
