Seed selection

Control the number of lotus buds

Lotus sprouts should not be too much. Generally, only two lotus root species should be planted in a cylinder with a diameter of 50 cm

Too many lotus buds will inevitably lead to excessive nutritional growth and consume the nutrients in the tank. Even if some leaves are cut in the later stage, it is difficult to transfer the nutrients in the body to reproductive growth

Protective cover bud

Each section of lotus root must have a complete and undamaged covering bud, otherwise it is not easy to blossom in the current year after planting

Select planting time

When the temperature reaches more than 15 ℃, it is the good breeding season of lotus root. The lotus bud planted in this period has suitable living conditions and grows rapidly, which can accumulate more nutrients for flowering

Pay attention to cold prevention in winter. After germination in warm spring next year, strengthen fertilization management, and apply an appropriate amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, so that satisfactory lotus flowers can be produced in summer
