Sow
Sowing method
Sowing can be carried out in pots with high humidity and temperature at the end of autumn or in spring. Sowing seedlings in South China can be used to plant flower beds, and flowers can be seen in September of that year. After the fruit is ripe, it is picked, piled and retted, soaked and scrubbed to remove the pulp, and then the seed is obtained p>
Seeds should not lose water. They can be collected and sown in autumn, or stored in mixed sand, and then sown in spring. The temperature of germination stage after sowing should be kept above 20c. The germination rate is about 60%, and the sown seedlings in the South can bloom in the autumn of that year p>
Seed harvesting
After retting and washing, the fruit is picked. Seeds should not lose water. They can be collected and sown in autumn, or stored in mixed sand, and then sown in spring p>
Cutting
Cutting season
Pruning of five color plum is resistant. Cutting can be carried out in combination with pruning in spring, and may is the best p>
Cutting operation
Take the annual branches as cuttings, form a section every two sections, keep the two leaves in the upper section and cut them in half, insert the lower section into plain sandy soil or mix the plain sandy soil and fully decomposed humus soil in half, shade after cuttings, cover the film with moisture and heat preservation, keep the cuttings moist and the air humidity at 80% ~ 90%, and sprout roots and new shoots in about one month p>
After the seedlings survive, if you want to plant open flower beds, you should first plant them in small flower pots for transition. When the roots of cuttings grow to about 5cm long and some of them turn brown, they should be transplanted into pots and kept under sparse shade for a period of time. After the new roots are fully developed and the white roots protrude from the bottom hole, they can be removed from pots and planted p>
Using softwood cutting method, it only takes about 20 days to take root and survive. After rooting and survival, seedlings should be transplanted as soon as possible to ensure that they absorb sufficient nutrients as soon as possible, which is conducive to growth and early flowering p>
Batten
The five colored plum plant has many branches and roots in the soil, so the flexible branches are cut and pressed into the soil, and the roots and branches are cut off after the root grows p>
