Dahlia rejuvenation method
Pruning
When it is observed that the color of Dahlia leaves or flowers begins to fade, it should be taken out of the basin. The action should be light and careful. Remove the branches and rods supporting the stems and flowers, and then cut off the upper part of the ground. Cut them all from near the ground, leaving only 3-5 cm foundation piles. Be careful when you are low. Pay attention to the levelness of the scissors and don't tear the wound p>
Soil replacement
Disinfect the sharp knife, then use it to cut off a quarter of the basin soil, and then plant the dahlia back into the basin. Fill it with the cultivation soil made of rotten leaf soil, pond mud and clean fine river sand in the ratio of 6:3:1. Be sure to mix evenly. When filling, fill it all the way to the mouth of the basin, and then drench with water to make the newly replaced nutrient soil sink, so as to make close contact with the root system p>
Ventilation
After replacing the pot soil, dahlia needs to be moved to a cool and ventilated place. Remember to keep the soil moist during maintenance. After about 10-15 days, new buds will sprout on the foundation pile p>
Management of Dahlia rejuvenation
Sparse bud
When the new bud grows to about 3-4cm high, it should be placed in a place with sunshine, and then thinning the bud. Only two strong new buds are retained on each foundation pile, and the others are removed, leaving about 6-8 new buds in the basin p>
Watering and fertilization
After bud thinning, drench with clean water every 3 to 5 days to provide sufficient water. In addition, water can not give less nutrients. Therefore, 800 times of aqueous solution of organic humic acid active liquid fertilizer for flowers can be sprayed on the leaves every half a month or so until there is water dripping on the leaves p>
Diseases and insect pests
For the prevention and control of diseases and pests, you can choose to spray drugs, such as 1000 times Lisbon and 800 times methyletobuzine p>
Using the above methods for maintenance, dahlias will bud and bloom in two or three months, and gradually recover their vitality p>
