Temperature

Cuiju likes to grow in cool and dry places, and the suitable temperature for growth is between 12 ℃ - 15 ℃. In this range, the lower the temperature, the better for plant growth, but the flowering time will be slightly prolonged. It is not frost resistant and cannot grow below 8 ℃. Low temperature and short sunshine will affect the normal growth of plants. Shading, cooling and ventilation shall be done well in summer

Illumination

Cuiju is a long sunshine plant, which likes a sunny growth environment. Long sunshine is beneficial to promote flowering, improve its quality and enhance branching. For cut flower varieties, it takes more than 4 weeks of light at the seedling stage, and the daily light number is about 14-16 hours. In the natural conditions of short sunshine, supplementary lighting shall be carried out. Light replenishment needs to be interrupted at night for about 4 hours. The emergence of flower buds can shorten the light time, which is conducive to promote the flowering and shorten the cultivation time. If cuiju plants only grow in short sunshine, the leaves will cluster, which will affect their normal flowering

Open ground maintenance

In the case of open cultivation, rotten organic fertilizer shall be applied as the base fertilizer during land preparation. After planting slow seedlings, thin cake fertilizer and water can be applied every 15-20 days. Water the soil timely to keep the soil moist. After watering each time, we should plough in time to preserve moisture, otherwise the soil is too wet, which is easy to cause diseases. Reduce watering after budding to prevent falling buds

Potted maintenance
