Underground stem cutting

Usually, some underground stems are taken out for cultivation when cutting buds. New seedlings are generally cut from the lower part of the underground mother stem, which is generally strong and full, and the survival rate is also high. The cut length is about 12 cm, with at least two opposite bud nodes, and then this part of the underground stem is directly cut and planted

Green cutting

Before the full flowering period, usually in June, shoot strips with opposite bud nodes are collected from hops plants and planted directly as mother plants. This breeding method has a very high survival rate and is also a commonly used breeding method

Bud planting method

When cutting buds, take out plump and robust buds with partial roots, generally about 10cm long, and then directly cultivate the buds. In the process of cultivation, also pay attention to keeping the soil moist

Cultivation methods and precautions

The best breeding time of hops is generally April, and the full flowering period is from July to August. The best cultivation soil is the deep soil layer with soft soil, fertile soil and good air permeability. Hops should be cool and cold resistant, and the best suitable temperature is 14-25 ℃.
