Sowing time
Not all the time in a year is suitable for planting Hemerocallis fulva. Due to different conditions such as temperature and sunlight, different planting time often leads to different yields. Therefore, it is very important to choose an appropriate sowing time p>
The seeds of Hemerocallis fulva mature in midsummer, and it is best to pick and sow at the same time. First, there are better climatic conditions in autumn to help it grow healthily. Second, the seeds have not been stored and have the best germination ability p>
Selection of soil
Compared with many other flowers, Hemerocallis has more stringent requirements for planting soil, but Hemerocallis has not very high requirements for planting soil p>
It has strong vitality. It can adapt to both humid environment and water shortage environment. It can adapt to both sunny environment and semi cloudy environment. It also has strong cold resistance. It can overwinter in the open air in the north p>
Generally speaking, the planting soil with certain drainage capacity and high rot content can meet its normal growth needs p>
Sowing method
When planting in a flowerpot at home, you can first choose a flowerpot of moderate size and put nine full cultivation soil in it p>
Then sow seeds on the soil surface. It should be noted that seeds should be sown in an appropriate amount, not too much. Otherwise, the resources in the flowerpot are insufficient to supply the growth of young plants, which will lead to poor growth of young plants and affect the ornamental effect p>
Then cover the seeds with a layer of planting soil, about 1cm ~ 2cm thick. Note that the covering soil should not be too thin, otherwise the roots of adult plants may be exposed to the air, which is not conducive to its survival p>
Finally, water the flowerpot in the semi shade, and water it often to ensure that the planting soil is wet, and the seedlings will appear in about 20 days p>
For open-air planting, first select a suitable land and turn the soil in advance, with a thickness of about 30cm p>
Dig holes according to the distance between plants and rows of about 0.5x1m, and the hole depth is 3 ~ 4cm p>
Then put the seeds into the hole, with 3 ~ 4 seeds per hole p>
Finally, fill the small hole with planting soil and irrigate it with water to ensure that the humidity of planting soil is suitable for seed germination p>
