Soil rooting
Due to the high temperature in summer, the matrix of cutting must be breathable, moisturizing and fast heat dissipation. The following granular soils are very suitable for cutting in summer, and they are also common around us
1. Sand cutting
Sand is river sand. Put a bag home and sift it. It's as thick as the following figure. Wash it with boiling water for 2-3 times, or soak it in carbendazim solution for 30 minutes for sterilization. The soil without sterilization will carry bacteria and insect eggs, so it's best to clean it up p>
When cutting, you can spray the sandy soil wet first, and then put fleshy leaves. The larger leaves can stand on the sandy soil against the wall of the flowerpot, or insert them into the soil shallowly. Be careful not to be too deep. Leaves with small radians can be placed directly on the sand p>
It's best to put it in a cool and ventilated place at home. When it sprouts, you can bask in the sun in the morning and evening. Don't move the leaves curiously in the process
The fleshy leaves and flower heads for the rest of life are easy to black rot again. Flower suggestions: poke a hole in the sand with your fingers at the edge of the flowerpot, pour water into the hole every time, and directly enter the bottom of the basin, so as to reduce the risk of black rot and hydration and ensure normal rooting p>
2. Vermiculite
Vermiculite is actually a mineral. When we buy more meat, we will bring a few bags. It is not only rich in nutrition, but also has small temperature change. It is very suitable for cutting and rooting p>
Vermiculite particles vary in size. When fleshy leaves are placed, the rooting place should be close to the soil surface, which can be placed against the edge of the basin. If necessary, press with a few small stones p>
In the process of cutting, it should be placed in a cool place to keep the basin soil moist. Vermiculite will expand a little after absorbing water, so when you see that the position of the soil drops and the color turns white, you should water it quickly p>
3. Maifan stone, perlite
Maifan stone and perlite are also suitable for cutting in summer, because they don't absorb much heat, so flower friends in high temperature areas can have a try~
For flower friends cutting with Maifan stone and perlite, it is best to use the container closed at the bottom to cut, because the particles of the two are relatively large. Cutting mainly uses the water vapor between the stones to grow roots, and the container with holes leaks when watered, so we must pay attention to it p>
Water rooting
In summer, fleshy soil is easy to rot, and water is safer. Generally, it can be operated with clean water. If you want to improve the success rate, you can also add some rooting powder or water soaked in willow branches
Unlike other flowers, meat can't really be inserted into water, especially in summer. It's easy to rot. it only needs water vapor to take root. Here are some very convenient skills. Let's learn them quickly~
1. Small glass bottle
The mouth of the glass bottle is small and relatively stable. The yogurt bottle we usually drink is OK. Wash it, pour in 1 / 3 of the water, and insert the meat in the mouth of the bottle. It doesn't need to touch the water. It will take root in a cool place for about a week
If your meat doesn't take root, you'd better change the water once every 3-5 days. Be sure to keep it cool and don't dry it p>
2. Plastic bottle leaf inserting machine
Cut several small openings on the bottle body of the plastic bottle and clamp the meat on the small opening. The heavier meat can be fixed with adhesive tape. The bottle opening should be open, otherwise the steam inside will be too hot and put it in a cool place~
This method has the fastest rooting speed. You can see the root system in about 3-5 days. Don't be too anxious. Plant it when the buds come out p>
3. Other root tips
Flower friends who think it's too troublesome to do things above, there are some other lazy rooting methods, such as using a steamer, filling the pot with clean water, putting the leaves on the steamer, no matter how small, and paying attention to facing the rooting place to the small hole on the steamer, which is more accurate p>
Single layer gauze is fixed on the water bowl with rubber band, and the fleshy leaves are placed on the gauze
The finished ice cream stick can also be made into a bracket, which only needs to be fixed at both ends with adhesive tape~
The straw is cut into three sections and tied with a rubber band to become a triangular support. The meat can be embedded in it p>
