Orchids like acidic soil very much. The pH value of soil is preferably between 5.5-6.5. It will grow better in slightly acidic soil. Do not use alkaline soil to cultivate orchids. This soil is not suitable for its growth and may stop the growth of plants. The soil with good air permeability and high nutrients is the best, because the soil with good air permeability is conducive to the respiration of plant roots, and the nutrients contained can support its growth

Secondly, the drainage capacity of soil should also be stronger, otherwise it will affect the normal discharge of water, and its roots will rot if soaked in water. The last thing is to be clean. There should be no bacteria or insect eggs in it, so it should be disinfected before use

2、 Soil mixing method

When preparing soil, garden soil and rotten bark can be mixed together, or rotten leaf soil, river sand and an appropriate amount of perlite can be mixed. Some coarse sand can also be placed at the bottom of the flowerpot, which can increase the drainage of the soil, improve the air permeability, and make the orchids grow better and stronger
