1、 Basin soil preparation

Rhododendron is more suitable to grow in acidic soil, while the northern soil is mostly alkaline, so it needs to prepare basin soil. Generally, it can be used as cake fertilizer, and a certain amount of sand can be added as base soil. Be sure to mix evenly before planting, and change new pots and new soil every spring

2、 Water acidification

The Rhododendron cannot be watered with tap water, because the tap water itself has chlorine and is alkaline at the same time. It needs to stand for a few days. You can add a few drops of white vinegar to the water or acidify it with ferrous sulfate. Acid water irrigation is more conducive to its growth and improve the soil quality

3、 Increase humidity

Rhododendron prefer humid environment, while the air in the north is relatively dry. You can spray water on its leaves or on the ground every day, which can increase the humidity of the air. Humidifier can be used for indoor breeding, which can also effectively humidify

4、 Raise the temperature

The wintering temperature of Rhododendron can not be lower than 5 ℃. In northern winter, it can be placed in a place with indoor heating. But don't put the azaleas too close to the heating. High temperature baking will also cause damage to it, so it is necessary to keep a certain distance. At the same time, regular ventilation should be carried out to avoid various diseases caused by poor air circulation
