1、 Is it easy to raise
Potted kumquat is not easy to raise. It has high requirements for the environment. Temperature, moisture and fertilizer should be strictly controlled, and the maintenance methods are also different in different seasons p>
2、 Curing method
1. Light: kumquat needs enough light. Generally, they should be exposed to sunlight all day, which is beneficial to their flowering and fruiting. However, in summer, proper shade should be provided to avoid blade burns p>
2. Temperature: the temperature suitable for the growth of Kumquat is between 20-30 ℃. If the temperature is higher than this, appropriate water spray is required to cool down. The temperature in autumn should not be lower than 10 ℃, otherwise it will be moved indoors. In winter, the temperature should be kept above 0 ℃, but not higher than 10 ℃, otherwise it will lead to insufficient dormancy and affect the flowering of the second year p>
3. Soil: kumquat is suitable for growing in fertile and loose acid soil. Rotten leaf soil, sandy soil and cake fertilizer are selected and prepared in the proportion of 4:5:1. This kind of basin soil has both nutrition and good drainage p>
4. Fertilizer: the amount of fertilizer applied to kumquat is different at different times. Before new buds germinate and bloom, thin sauce residue water should be applied 3-4 times a month, and alum fertilizer water should be poured several times. Applying more phosphate fertilizer in summer is conducive to flowering and fruiting. Fertilizer should be stopped in the fruiting period. When the young fruit grows to about 1 cm, liquid fertilizer can be applied once a week p>
5. Watering: during the growth period, the kumquat should be watered more to keep the basin soil always wet. Spray water properly in spring and summer, but do not spray water during flowering, so as not to cause rotten flowers. The ponding shall be drained in time in rainy season to avoid root rot. From flowering stage to young fruit stage, the basin soil should be kept dry and wet, otherwise it is unfavorable to its growth p>
3、 Precautions
Moderate pruning can also promote better flowering and Fruiting of Kumquat. Before the germination of new buds in spring, all dead branches, dense branches and bare branches should be cut off. Only 3-4-year-old thick branches shall be reserved, and 3 buds shall be reserved at the base of each branch. When the new is slightly longer than 15 cm, it is necessary to pick the heart and control its length. In addition, after bearing young fruits, part of them should be removed. Three thick branches and one weak branch shall be reserved to make them evenly distributed p>
