1、 Soil conditions
1. Drainage: most plants are suitable to grow in well drained soil, and green pineapple is no exception. If the water cannot penetrate or is easy to accumulate water, it will lead to water shortage of the plant or flooding the root, which is unfavorable to its growth. Adding river sand to the basin soil can improve its drainage p>
2. Ventilation: the respiration of green pineapple still depends on the root, so it is also necessary to have good soil permeability. If the soil is not smooth, the plant will wither easily. Regular loosening can solve the problem of air permeability p>
3. Nutrition: in addition to fertilization, the humus rich in the soil itself can also provide nutrition. Adding an appropriate amount of humus in the flowerpot can meet the nutrients needed for plant growth p>
4. Acidity: Green pineapple is suitable for growing in slightly acidic soil. If the soil is seriously alkaline, it is easy to make the leaves yellow and wither. Perlite can be mixed with basin soil or watered with ferrous sulfate solution p>
2、 How to prepare
For seedlings or cuttings, the soil should be sapropel or humus soil. Perlite can be added to rotten leaf soil to improve soil pH and air permeability. Humus can be added with sand to enhance drainage p>
For the growing green pineapple, peat soil, perlite and vermiculite are generally selected and mixed in the proportion of 3:1:1 p>
