1、 Breeding method
1. Soil: boxwood is suitable for growing in loose and fertile soil. Generally, sandy loam with good drainage is selected, which can be mixed with certain base fertilizer to provide certain nutrients for its growth p>
2. Sunshine: boxwood needs some light, but it can't be exposed to the hot sun. It is usually placed in the sunny place in the morning and in the shade in the afternoon to receive half a day of light p>
3. Watering: boxwood should grow in a humid environment, and watering should change according to the temperature. When the temperature is higher than 20 ℃, it is necessary to keep the soil and branches moist. The temperature is between 10-20 degrees and can be sprayed properly. p>
4. Fertilization: fertilization should be based on natural fertilizer, not high-efficiency fertilizer, which will burn the root. In spring, we should apply accelerating fertilizer, temperature resistant fertilizer in summer and heat preservation fertilizer in winter to ensure healthy growth all year round p>
2、 Reproductive skills
1. Cutting: cutting is usually carried out in plum rain season. Cut about 10cm twigs as cuttings, insert them into soft and fertile soil, and take root in about 40 days p>
2. Banding: banding is mostly carried out from March to April. The two-year-old branches were pressed into the soil and separated from the mother plant in the next spring. Then transplant to keep the soil moist p>
3、 Pest control
1. Disease: the common diseases are anthrax and leaf spot, which can be sprayed with zineb solution for control p>
2. Pests: the main pests are scale insects and moths, which can be killed with fenitrothion p>
