1、 Pseudobulb different

The pseudobulb under the Jianlan plant is relatively large and can absorb nutrients from the ground. It is spherical, with a length of about 1.5-2.5cm and a width of about 1-1.5cm

Cymbidium is similar to the former, but it can be distinguished from the former. Its pseudobulbs are relatively small and will form clumps at the root, showing an oval shape, but the root part is relatively strong, and the absorption of nutrients mainly depends on the root of orchid

2、 Different leaves

Jianlan's leaves are soft in texture. If you touch them, you will feel more supple, the surface is relatively smooth, and the leaf veins are not very clear

The leaves of Cymbidium hybridum are stiff and have some serrations at the edge. It will feel uncomfortable to touch them. If you look against the light, you will find that the veins of the leaves are very obvious

3、 Different flowers

Jianlan has a small number of flowers, which can bloom about 3-9 flowers. It blooms later, around June to October

Cymbidium is also called Jiuzi orchid. It blooms in a large number. Generally, about 9-13 flowers can bloom on a flower stem. And its flowering period is relatively early, generally around March in spring, and some can bloom in February in advance
