2. Temperature: okra likes warm climate and is resistant to high temperature. It grows faster at 25-30 ℃. If the temperature is lower than 17 ℃, the growth of the plant will be limited, and the flowering of the plant may be affected, so that it cannot bear fruit. If it is planted in the ground, if the temperature is low, it is necessary to keep warm. Potted plants are usually kept indoors in a warm place

3. Soil: okra should be planted in loose and fertile soil. The field planting is generally selected in the place with deep soil layer. Before planting, it needs to be leveled and deeply cultivated, and enough base fertilizer is applied, so as to ensure the growth of plants. When the first true leaf grows, it is necessary to carry out thinning, remove weak and sick seedlings, and cultivate soil regularly to avoid plant lodging

4. Watering: okra needs a certain amount of water to grow during the growth period, so it is necessary to keep the soil moist, but not too wet, otherwise it is easy to get sick during the growth period. In its fruiting period, it should also provide sufficient water, otherwise it will affect the quality of fruit

5. Fertilization: in addition to full base fertilizer when planting okra, topdressing should be carried out regularly. First of all, we should apply one-time seedling fertilizer at the time of emergence, and one-time seedling lifting fertilizer after planting. We should choose compound fertilizer to supplement a variety of nutrients. When it blooms and bears fruit, it needs to be applied again to improve the quality of fruit

Okra is an annual plant. Generally, it takes 50-55 days to blossom after emergence. It only takes 85-120 days from flowering to harvest, so the whole growth period is about 170 days
