1、 Flowering time

Epiphyllum blooms once a year. The flowers are white and ornamental. It will bloom from June to October. Unlike other plants, this plant does not bloom during the day and only at night. Usually, the flowers will gradually open around 8-9 p.m. However, the flowering time is relatively short, and it can only open for 3 or 4 hours at a time. Around the early morning, the flowers will slowly close again, and it looks as if they have not opened the next day

2、 How to raise flowers

1. Temperature control: controlling the curing temperature within a suitable range will increase the probability of flowering. Keep the temperature at about 15-25 ℃, and the temperature difference between morning and evening should not be too large, just about 5 ℃

2. Fertilization: we should supplement nutrients to the plant, especially when pregnant buds, we must supplement fertilizer in time. Usually, when the plant is about to blossom, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied to it. Do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise it will affect its flowering

3. Watering: let the plants bloom without water. Let the soil have enough water and keep a relatively wet state. It should be noted that there is no water in the flower soil

4. Ventilation: the climate environment of Epiphyllum cultivation should have good ventilation, and the plants need to breathe fresh air, which is more helpful for flower bud differentiation. It cannot be raised in a place that is too hot and humid, which will affect its flowering
