The plump leaves are like a spoon, with a blunt or slightly pointed top (among which the blunt top is called 'snow lotus with round leaves'). The brown green leaves are covered with thick gray white or light blue gray powder, which is extremely holy and beautiful. Orange spikelets bloom in spring.
