British Ivy likes warm environment. It is not resistant to high temperature. The suitable temperature for growth is between 18 ℃ - 20 ℃, which can be resistant to cold. The requirements for soil are not high.
Habits of Japanese ivy
Japanese ivy likes bright light. It can withstand half shade and is not very resistant to sunlight. I like humid environment and require humid air. The temperature should be kept between 17 ℃ - 21 ℃, and the overwintering temperature should not be lower than 6 ℃. The growth environment requires good ventilation.
The habit of Canary Ivy
Canary Ivy requires bright light and strong negative resistance, but it is not resistant to direct sunlight. Like warm climate but not cold resistant. The suitable growth temperature is 18 ℃ - 20 ℃. It should be kept above 8 ℃ in winter. It is easy to suffer from freezing damage below 6 ℃.
The soil shall be loose, fertile and well drained.
