Breeding method
Temperature and light
The suitable temperature for the growth of Lantern flower is about 15-25 ℃. Avoid high temperature in summer. When the temperature exceeds 30 ℃, the plant will enter a semi dormant state; It is better to keep the room temperature above 10 ℃ in winter, and the temperature shall not be lower than 5 ℃, otherwise it is prone to freezing injury p>
Lanterns like a sunny environment. If there is insufficient sunshine, it is easy to cause plants to grow in vain, and the number of flowers will be greatly reduced. However, in summer, it is necessary to shade properly and move the lantern plant to a cool and ventilated place to avoid long-term direct sunlight and leaf curling p>
Moisture
Keep the basin soil moist during the growth period and adhere to the principle of "see dry and see wet". During the flowering period of lanterns, do not allow the pot soil to be too dry or too wet, otherwise it is very easy to cause buds, flowers or fallen leaves. Under the condition of semi dormancy in summer and winter, watering should be controlled to prevent leaf falling and root rot p>
Fertilization
Lanterns like fertilizer and apply enough organic fertilizer before planting. Because the growth rate of Lantern flower is relatively fast and can bloom continuously, cake fertilizer and water or thin liquid fertilizer should be applied every 7-10 days. Nitrogen fertilizer should be controlled in the early stage of growth, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be increased in the flowering period p>
Soil
Fertile, loose and breathable sandy loam with good drainage is suitable for cultivation medium p>
In spring, we can change pots and soil, pour out part of the pot soil, appropriately cut off the old roots and select the appropriate flower pot. Loosen the soil properly in spring and autumn p>
