2. Appearance

(1) Leaf: let's start with the shape of the leaf. The leaves of Osmanthus fragrans are leathery, mostly oval, and some are long oval or lanceolate. However, the leaves of the second kind of plants are different. Most of them are obovate. Moreover, their length is also different. The leaves of the first plant are about 7 to 14.5 cm long and 2.6 to 4.5 cm wide. However, the leaves of the second plant are much smaller, about one to six centimeters long and 0.5 to 3 centimeters wide

(2) Petiole: mainly different in length. The petiole length of the former is 0.8 to 1.2 cm, which is longer than that of the second

3. Different flowering and fruiting stages

For the first plant, its flowering period is from September to early October, and its fruiting period is in March of the next year. The flowering period of the second plant is from April to August and the fruiting period is from September to December
