Grafted rose
When we go to the park, the roses are bigger and stronger than the gods. They look like the flowers that have been raised in the park for decades
In fact, the age of these roses is similar to that of your family. They bloom not only more than you, but also older than you. What's more, their flowering period can last for 1-2 months p>
Some can even produce several colors of flowers, which are dense and open like hydrangeas
In fact, these roses are artificially grafted the day after tomorrow. The upper part is rose and the lower part is rootstock. Generally, the rootstock is Muxiang branch and rose branch
The grafted rose retains the advantages of rootstock and is far away from the soil surface, reducing the risk of diseases and pests. It blooms more and longer. It looks very complex. In fact, it is as easy to operate as cutting. Let's learn together~
Rose grafting method
1. Select Rootstocks
Choose at least 40 cm long and finger thick Muxiang branches or rose branches. If they are rooted, they can be grafted directly in the ground
2. Prepare scion
Scion is the rose branch that needs to be grafted. Choose the green and strong branch that is born in that year, at least 5cm is enough, and it is best to have 1-2 bud points on it
Take off the leaves and thorns and distinguish them up and down
At about 2 cm below the scion, prepare to cut out the marriage interface
Cut obliquely to reveal the white inner stem
After cutting the interface, it is best to put it in clean water or carbendazim solution to avoid drying
3. Upper cutting outlet of Rootstock
Select a place on the cross section of the rootstock and prepare to cut out the marriage interface. The width of the marriage interface is consistent with the thickness of the scion
It is mainly the thickness of the cut skin. Pay attention not to break the skin. The length of the cut should be consistent with that of the scion
4. Complete grafting
Insert the rose scion into the rootstock so that the two interfaces coincide
Wrap the bark of the rootstock again
Then wrap and fix it with plastic film or soft tape
If you want to grow into a rose crown quickly, you can graft several more places on the rootstock and peel a rose skin with buds first
Cut a T-shape from the rootstock, peel it off, put the rose skin with buds in, expose the buds, and finally wrap it tightly with plastic film or soft tape
5. Colonization
The grafted rootstock can be directly inserted into the wet flower soil, placed in a cool place to avoid exposure to the sun and keep moist. It can take about 15 days to take root, or a plastic bag can be set at the grafting place to moisturize
When the rose shoots sprout, it means that the grafting is successful; If the branch is black and wrinkled, it means failure
Post grafting maintenance
After grafting and germination, you can bask in the sun. The grafted rose is easier to take care of. There is almost no need to take care of the ground planting. For pot planting, the flowerpot should be selected according to the root size of the rootstock, and there is no need to use too large flowerpot
If you want the rose trees to bloom big and frequently, you can add some strong materials, such as fish intestines, chicken manure, cow and sheep manure, etc. now you are not afraid of burning or insects
Cultivate roses into trees
