1、 Soil
Lotus needs abundant pond mud or paddy soil as cultivation soil. Industrial contaminated soil must not be used p>
2、 Temperature
Lotus has strict requirements for temperature. It will sprout at 8-10 ℃ and grow at 14 ℃; In the early stage, the sowing temperature needs to be above 15 ℃, otherwise it will grow very slowly. When the temperature is high in summer, it is not conducive to its growth and development. The most suitable temperature for lotus growth is 22-35 ℃ p>
3、 Illumination
It should receive sufficient sunlight for at least 7 hours a day, which can promote the growth of more flower buds. Don't breed it in a dark environment. It's easy to shorten the flowering period or even not bloom. Open air lotus cultivation is the best. It can be placed in the courtyard or balcony, as long as it is a place with good light p>
4、 Fertilization
Lotus likes fertilizer, but if the amount of fertilizer is too large, it will burn it, so it should be applied thinly and frequently. The amount of fertilizer should be appropriately increased in summer, because summer is the flowering period of lotus. The observation that the lotus leaf is yellow and has no disease spots indicates that it is in a state of lack of nutrients. It should be fertilized in time, about every 15-20 days p>
5、 Precautions
1. Diseases: the lotus may suffer from corruption and leaf blight, but they are not very serious. Once found, it should be sprayed with medicine in time p>
2. Insect pests: aphids and big coir moths may appear. Catch the diseased leaves in time, remove the weeds as soon as possible, and disinfect appropriately p>
