1. Flower difference
Goldfish grass: under normal circumstances, its flowering period is from March to June. The length of petals is about 3cm to 15cm, and the length of pedicel is about 5mm to 7mm p>
Violet: its flowering period is from April to may, which is one month later than that of goldfish grass. The length of petals is about 12mm and the length of pedicel is about 1.5mm. This is very different from that of goldfish grass. It is much smaller than that of goldfish grass. Therefore, if both plants are in bloom, it is easy to distinguish the two plants p>
2. Branch stem difference
Goldfish grass: its branches are generally at the junction of stem and root, and the stem base sometimes presents lignification p>
Violet: its branches are all over the whole plant, not like goldfish grass, and all branches will have lignification at the base p>
3. Height difference
Goldfish grass can grow up to 80 cm high, while violet is only 60 cm high p>
4. Leaf difference
Goldfish grass: its leaf length is between 2 cm and 6 cm, the edge is flat, and most of its leaves are lanceolate or rectangular circular lanceolate p>
Violet: the total length of its leaves and petioles is about 6 cm to 14 cm, and the width of its leaves is between 1.2 cm and 2.5 cm, which is much larger than that of goldfish grass, and its leaves are spoon shaped or oblong to oblanceolate, which is very different from goldfish grass.
