1、 Soil requirements
1. Air permeability: the soil planted with Rhododendron has good air permeability. If it is too sticky, it is not conducive to the growth and respiration of plant roots p>
2. Acidity and alkalinity: it is best to use acidic soil with pH value of about 5.5-6.5. Alkaline soil must not be used. If alkaline soil is used for breeding, the leaves of the plant will be very withered and yellow, and will die in serious cases p>
3. Humus: there must be a certain amount of humus in the soil. Only sufficient nutrition can be more conducive to the growth of azalea. It can be dug from under pine, cypress and other trees p>
2、 Soil mixing method
Family farming is mostly cultivated in prepared soil. Rotten leaf soil, sandy soil and a small amount of base fertilizer can be used. If the soil is a little sticky, add some broken tiles at the bottom of the flowerpot. Before soil preparation, it should be disinfected and can be exposed to the sun. Some cinders can also be added to the soil to better drain water. It is not recommended to use red soil, which is relatively viscous p>
