1、 Branch selection

Both of them are asexual reproduction and need to use branches, but the branches used in the two methods are different. Layering is to select a long branch on the plant, which can be pressed to the ground with sufficient length, so as to realize layering reproduction. Cutting is to select a strong branch on the plant, and select annual twigs or biennial branches according to the needs of plant growth. The top leaves need to be retained and the lower leaves need to be removed, so as to have vitality and improve the survival rate

2、 Operation method

Layering is to dig a pit near the plant, bury the long branches, and then pile the soil and spray water to keep it moist. In this way, after a period of time, they can be separated from the mother with scissors, and then cultivated separately to form a new main body. Of course, for different tree species, the operation is a little different. Ordinary layering is suitable for plants with soft branches, and pile soil layering is suitable for plants with strong tillering of rhizomes

Cutting is to cut the branches directly at the beginning, deal with the branches and dry the wound. Then select a breathable and well drained substrate, insert the branches into the cultivation, wait for the roots to grow inside, and then transplant for formal cultivation
