1、 Pruning dead branches
After entering the spring, the lemon tree needs to be properly pruned. First, the dried branches should be cut off, on the one hand, to promote the germination of new branches, on the other hand, to reduce the loss of nutrients p>
2、 Pruning diseased branches
If the branches have been invaded by diseases and insect pests, there will be a lot of germs on them, so they should be trimmed at the first time. After pruning, the diseased branches should be collected and burned to prevent the bacteria from infecting the plant again p>
3、 Pruning bare branches
Some branches will grow longer due to excessive nutrition. For such branches, they should be cut short. Pruning shall be carried out according to the length of branches, and excessive truncation is not allowed p>
4、 Trim other branches
The branches with strong growth should be weakly sheared, and only four or five full bud points need to be reserved. For the branches with weak growth, strong shear should be carried out. Generally, two or three buds should be retained, which can make the branches grow more robust p>
5、 Precautions
If possible, it is best to disinfect the cutting mouth after pruning. If it is not treated, it is likely to cause some diseases p>
