How to Make a Water Bulb for Plants

If you want a more aesthetically pleasing water bulb, you can cut the bottom off the glass bottle. Use a glass cutter to score around the bottle where you want to make the cut, and then use boiling water and cold water to break the glass apart. Be careful when handling the sharp edges!

Insert the funnel into the hole in the cork. If your bottle doesn't have a lip, you might need to glue the funnel in place so it doesn't fall through.

Apply a small amount of silicone sealant around the base of the cork, where it will make contact with the bottle. This will help form a watertight seal between the cork and the bottle.
