How to Make a Tipsy Pot Plant Stand
Do you want to add a touch of whimsy to your garden? Why not try making a tipsy pot plant stand? This unique and fun garden décor is simple to make and will add a bit of flair to your outdoor space. Here’s how:
Materials Needed:
5-7 clay pots in varying sizes
1 wooden dowel rod, about 4 feet long
Outdoor paint (optional)
Potting soil and plants of your choosing
Glue (optional)
Instructions:
Begin by painting your pots if desired. This step is optional, but it can add a fun pop of color to your tipsy pot plant stand.
Next, begin stacking your pots in a way that looks aesthetically pleasing to you. Start with the largest pot on the bottom and work your way up to the smallest pot on top. Make sure to offset each pot slightly to give the stand a more whimsical look.
Once you have stacked all of your pots, take the wooden dowel rod and carefully insert it into the drainage hole of the top pot. Push the rod down until it is about ? of the way into the pot. You may need to bend the rod slightly to get it to fit.
Next, gently tilt your pots to one side, being careful not to break the dowel rod. Once you have achieved the tipsy look you desire, use the soil to fill each pot with your chosen plants. Be sure to pack the soil down firmly to keep the pots from wobbling.
If desired, use glue to secure the pots in place. This step is optional, but it will add extra stability to your tipsy pot plant stand.
Place your tipsy pot plant stand in a sunny spot in your garden or on your patio, and enjoy!
As you can see, making a tipsy pot plant stand is quick and easy, and it’s a fun way to add a bit of personality to your outdoor space. So why not try making one yourself and bringing some whimsy to your garden?
