1、 Grafting time
Pomegranate grafting time is mostly in spring. The temperature rose from March to April, and the plants began to enter the peak growth season, with a higher success rate after grafting. It is also more conducive to budding and growth p>
2、 Grafting method
1. Branch selection: select branches with strong growth. Keep the upper leaves and new buds and cut the bottom into a wedge. It should be noted that branches should not be thicker than rootstocks, otherwise nutrients cannot be supplied from Rootstocks to grafted branches p>
2. Rootstock treatment: rootstocks are generally plants of the same family and genus. Behead the rootstock, and then cut a knife in the middle of the incision surface, with a depth of about 5cm. And trim it moderately to ensure that there is enough space for branches to insert p>
3. Grafting process: insert the wedge-shaped position at the bottom of the branch into the notch of the rootstock. Only in this way can the two layers of nutrients be aligned. Then bind it with adhesive tape at the connecting position, so as to complete the grafting p>
4. Post grafting Management: often observe whether new buds grow after grafting. If the growth does not get better after two weeks, but withers, it proves that the grafting fails and needs secondary grafting p>
