1、 Grafting time
The most suitable time for grafting magnolia is spring. The approximate time is from the middle of March to the first ten days of April. At this time, the climate, leaf buds have just begun to sprout, and the survival rate is relatively high. Note: try not to carry out in rainy weather. If the environment is too humid, it is easy to breed bacteria and the wound is also very easy to be infected p>
2、 Grafting method
1. Select the branches with good growth status as scions, and the upper leaves should be cut off. Purple Magnolia with almost 2cm rhizome can be used as rootstock p>
2. When grafting, clean the soil at the root of rootstock, cut it obliquely on it, and then cut it vertically downward. The length can be controlled at about 2-3cm. The cut at the lower end of the scion should be cut to 45 °, and then cut from top to bottom p>
3. After cutting the two, insert the scion into the Rootstock to connect them, and then bind them with plastic bags. After covering with fine soil, the wound was about to heal after waiting for less than a month p>
