1、 Planting seeds
1. Sowing time: the sowing time of Canna is related to the temperature, and it can germinate only in the environment of 20 ℃. It is generally carried out from March to April, and the greenhouse sowing can be carried out from January to February p>
2. Seed treatment: the seed coat of Canna is very hard and needs proper treatment, otherwise it will not germinate well. It can be soaked in warm water at about 25 ℃. After soaking for 1-2 days, its seed coat can be peeled off, or it can be worn out by shorty p>
3. Pot soil preparation: Canna has strong adaptability and is not picky about the soil. Loose and fertile sandy loam is more suitable for its growth and makes seeds sprout faster p>
4. Sowing: put the seed after removing the seed coat into the basin soil and cover it with a layer of soil. The soil should not be too thick. After that, put the flowerpot in a place with high temperature to promote germination, and it can germinate within 3-4 weeks p>
2、 Planting tubers
1. Planting time: tubers are generally planted from March to April. At this time, the temperature is relatively appropriate, which is conducive to the growth and recovery of tubers. Once the temperature rises, it is easy to lead to root rot, so it must be earlier p>
2. Tuber treatment: cut the tubers of Canna into multiple pieces, each with 1-2 bud eyes. If there is rotten part on the tuber, it needs to be removed in time p>
3. Planting: bury small stems in the basin soil to a depth of 10 cm. This can make it better keep warm and avoid frostbite due to sudden air cooling p>
4. Follow up maintenance: put the flowerpot in a cool place and keep good ventilation. Daily watering should not be more, just keep the basin soil moist. New buds can grow in two to three weeks. After growing 5-6 leaves, applying fertilizer once is helpful to flowering p>
