1、 Cutting time
Iron Begonia can be cutted during the growth period, but the survival rate from May to June is higher. The temperature is low in winter, so it is not suitable to survive after cutting. High temperature in summer will lead to bottom rot and low survival rate. Generally, when the temperature is between 15-30 ℃, cutting can be carried out p>
2、 Cuttings treatment
Select iron Begonia plants that grow stronger and have no diseases and insect pests. Cut a 10-15cm branch with 3-4 leaf nodes on it. Wipe the white pulp flowing out of the incision and then apply plant ash. Put it in a cool place to dry for 2-3 days. After the wound is dry, it can be used for cutting p>
3、 Basin soil preparation
Iron Begonia has low requirements for matrix. Just use river sand or peat soil. After it takes root, it can be replaced with new soil. Nutrient soil can also be used directly, which is more conducive to rooting and germination. It should be noted that the sand and sea sand in saline and alkaline areas should not be used as the substrate. Salt and alkali are not conducive to its growth p>
4、 Cutting maintenance
After the prepared basin soil, cutting can be carried out. Then poke a hole on the surface of the basin soil, with a depth of about 5cm. Insert the bottom end of the cuttings into the hole, pour water and put it in a cool place. After that, pay attention to water control and wait until the basin soil is slightly dry before pouring. It will take about 50-60 days to take root p>
